The Ultimate Question for Film School Grads

Miss A is a former Film History and Theory student, so people often get a kick out of asking, "so, uh, what's your favorite movie?"

(Miss A shakes her head condescendingly)

As if it were that easy.

Here's a list of movies that are not necessarily great. Most are obviously well-written or well-photographed, some are pleasant to watch...the only common theme is that they move me. Some of them move me in very strange ways, and I'm not saying that these movies had perfect scripts or the best performances or even were well-photographed (although some of them are nearly perfect). I'm just saying they move me, for one reason or another. Oh yeah, and this list is in no way comprehensive. It's just a small selection.
