I just did the unthinkable.
In one word I turned down a $40k annual salary for $650 a week, for a maximum of twelve weeks.. In that same word, I rejected the possibility of health insurance, paid vacations, or a 401(k). That word rejected a 9 to 5 schedule of laxidaisical event planning and scheduling meetings (and yes. blogging) in favor of 13 hour workdays of thankless phone answering and running back and forth and NEVER messing up, if at all humanly possible.
That word was a resounding and unequivocal YES.
I have to thank Aunt J one more time, and I'll probably thank her again tomorrow. Without her endorsement, who knows how long it might have taken? I certainly didn't expect it even this soon, but I'm sure glad it happened. Now I just need to make the best of it and impress the hell out of everyone in the production office...but if my past jobs are any indication, that will come naturally to me!

R - I don't want to put too much out there, but I'll be an office PA (lackey) for a major motion picture. Basically, I'll be answering phones and shuttling paperwork and other stuff back and forth from the office to the location. I'll be making lots of coffee too, I'm sure.
The exciting part is that I've never worked in the office before, I've only been on set. So now I'll get to learn a whole new part of the business that will help me a great deal no matter what track I wind up taking. Who knows, maybe I'll love the business end of things and be a big shot Producer one of these days!
