The number of loving, caring, well-meaning sisters I have that told everyone in my family that I'm "dating."
Three
The number of blogs I have. One is a place I throw some random writings both fiction and nonfiction (no, you can't read it--it's all unfinished and unpolished), and I just started a new private one... Because there are personal things, and then there are private things. If you want to read my private things, email me with a good reason why I should let you.
Five
The number of people in my real life who have asked me a question along the lines of, "so who's this Producer guy?" None of your damn business, that's who! God! Quit reading my blog if you're gonna get all protective! Or at least be a little more sly about it...
Seven
The number of "dates" I have been on since I moved to New York. Since you keep asking.
Nine
The number of my family members I have identified as readers of my blog through my stat counter (I see you). Most of them probably changed at least one or two of my diapers.
Twenty-Seven
Three years away from thirty.

Last I heard, people being interested and caring about you was a good thing. Why so abrasive?
Caring is fine! Caring is good! But I feel a little nosed into. Sure, I'm dating, but nothing serious and when I get calls from Mom asking stuff like, "so who's this guy?" it freaks me out. I mean, I don't even know who this guy is yet! Also, self-censoring is not something I want to do, but I'm starting to feel uncomfortable with certain readers...like we talked about before.
I know how you feel. But you shouldn't self-censor. As you said, you're 3 years from 30. We've all experienced or read or seen far worse than anything you might possibly post. I don't think you need to change this post--we all need to vent sometimes. And maybe I'll vent about your venting, but so what? We read your blog because we love you as you are so be you and no one else and write what you want and just ignore us prying loud-mouth types :)
Seventeen - the number of days I have left of being 27!
