Halfway to one

Yay! I feel so lucky and proud to have come out on top of things! I'm really appreciative of all of you and your kind and encouraging comments and emails, and I'm also really appreciative of every amazing day I have here. I'm appreciative that I have learned so much about myself in such a short time, and that I have met such sweet and wonderful people along the way.

New York has been a generous lover too. She has offered me romance and encouragement in the form of flowers handed to me by a little boy on the street and taxicabs magically appearing before me during a downpour. New York took me to an improvised musical and made the actors sing all about me! New York gave me a few kisses here and there to help ease the awkward transition out of practically-married life and back into single life. New York even made it rain loft parties when it came time to plan the perfect celebration for our six month mark.

What I haven't told you is that New York and I have been on the outs a little lately, snapping at each other here and there. I've been mopey, mostly due to being a little overextended and very exhausted. In the two hours of spare time I am lucky to find in a day, I wind up feeling lonely and sad. I've been crying here and there. It's strange, because I feel like I could conquer the world and do anything, but I also feel a little hollow inside. I think I might miss my goals a little...at least they lent a purpose.

Now that the parties are over it's time to start thinking about new territory for exploration, and new goals to achieve. Where to next? What will the new Adventure be?
