Refreshed renewed and reconnected I return home from...well...home.

Usually I tell people I'm from New Orleans. But really that's just the
last city I nested in. Really I'm from Cleveland, Ohio. With all the
job drama that's been going on lately I was really glad to come back
to the Heart of Rock 'n Roll for a few days to throw a baby shower for
Salty.

It was an awesome trip too! Between Salty's giant belly, having a big
beach party with all the super women in my family, spending extra time
with my grandparents, and having a cozy, silly bonfire with my cousin
Katie O in the woods I had a tough time leaving. Times like these make
me miss my family so much; I'm lucky to come from such a big brood of
cousins (30 first cousins not counting their kids!) whose families are
all so close. Still, as I stepped onto the Tarmac with the wind
whipping my slip dress and chic scarf, my hair tangling into my
sunglasses, I was glad to be headed back to The City--MY City. I
breathed in the Lake Erie laden summer air for the last time (for a
while) and climbed into my plane. My ride home.

I feel like I've made it after all!
