When I go on a run, I like taking the subway best. This may be in part because I just like the subway, but I think it has more to do with having a few minutes to myself to breathe and be happy.
My goodness, I am happy when I'm at work! Even when I'm yawning or grumbling or have just finished screwing something up (at my desk jobs it was so easy to forget how clumsy I can be!) I am warm and candly inside. I haven't had this kind of satisfaction from a job since...ever.
I turned down a job on a Woody Allen movie today. I almost threw up when the AD on the line told me what the project was. I'm surprised I didn't have a tear well up while I told him I was already working on a project until July. There was magic phone rapport though (he was from Baton Rouge), so friendly banter was had and he told me to save his number. Sweet!
I have somehow become the de facto go-to gal for our megastar's needs, which is cool because I get to shop for her and I've always liked shopping for other people. Today I hung out a little with her driver while he took me to Staples for some supplies for her. We discussed her travel habits, which would probably be of great interest to people who follow celebrity gossip. I was curious about the driver's experiences back when he was on the NYPD. I think it comes from all the Law and Order I used to watch...
Also, in an unexpected turn of events, I need to snatch a belt on Canal Street, because my pants are falling off my hips! I don't know how I could be losing weight with the production buying me lunch every day, but it's definitely happening. Trust me, I'm not fighting it. I'd love to get all skinny for summer!
